Promotional Content Campaign for Montrose, CO
The following is a proposal for Topher Donahue to efficiently produce a diverse collection of visual content for the City of Montrose which the town can use to promote recreation and business in the Montrose area.
Due to the diverse nature of the culture and opportunities in the Montrose area, I suggest a four-pronged approach to the campaign, highlighting what I see as the four primary categories that could benefit from a colorful collection of imagery:
Active Lifestyle: Including cross-country skiing, mountain biking, running, climbing and hiking.
Western Lifestyle: Including traditional western lifestyle pursuits such as horse riding, fishing, four-wheeling, hunting and camping.
Business Culture: Including quaint and large, contemporary and historical, cottage and industrial.
Living in Montrose: Including dining, home, family, small town, access to San Juans hot springs and alpine/backcountry skiing.

Contract/compensation considerations:
Topher Donahue's primary goal in working out contract details is to be flexible in developing a working relationship that is excellent value for his clients while still being paid a professional rate. In general, here is where negotiations begin:
Day rate creative fee for 2 years unlimited rights to the content produced: 1 day - $2000/day, 2-5 days - $1500/day, 6 or more days - $1000/day.
Video editing rate: $100/hour
Rates and rights specifics flexible based on overall agreement.
After a discussion with Rob Joseph, I suggest two possibilities with two price points:
Option One: 2 sessions to capture 2 seasons, fall or spring and winter, 3 days each with a focus on active lifestyle, western lifestyle, business and living. 6 days of photography for $6000 plus expenses (travel from Nederland , lodging, model fees - estimated to be $1000 combined). Raw content delivered without editing. Total cost of approximately $7000.
Option Two: 3 sessions of 3 days each to capture greater diversity of imagery, seasonal variance, and likelihood of perfect shooting conditions. $9000 plus expenses (travel from Nederland , lodging, model fees - estimated to be $1500 combined). Content delivered includes raw content plus a 2-minute video edited ready for promotional use. Total cost approximately $10,500.
